Hotel Door Lock with Key Card V10
The ALOCK V10 hotel door handle is a high-end product that stands out with its advanced and unique features, differentiating it from many international competitors.
This model comes equipped with exclusive capabilities such as :
- a touch-sensitive doorbell
- Do Not Disturb (DND)
- Clean Room request indicators
- a micro USB emergency charging port
- dual AA battery power sources
and etc.
These built-in features are specifically designed for projects that lack hotel room display panels or command switches, allowing them to benefit from modern functionalities without any wiring or infrastructure changes—only through the installation of this smart handle.
One of the V10’s standout features is its compatibility with hotel smart systems. When equipped with the dedicated ALOCK smart module, activating the DND function from the handle will automatically trigger the DND indicator on hotel touch panels and the Building Management System (BMS). Conversely, enabling DND via the hotel’s room panel will digitally lock the handle, preventing housekeeping from opening the door from outside. This eliminates the need to manually activate the mechanical night-lock from inside, as commands are processed electronically.
Furthermore, if the cleaning request is activated via the handle, the HMS hotel management system will send the request online to the housekeeping or reception team.
The V10 is powered by two separate AA battery packs, which extends the device’s operational lifespan. One battery pack powers the DND system, while the second supports the card reader and door unlocking functions. Additionally, a micro USB emergency charging port allows the door handle to be powered by a power bank when the batteries are low.
The V10 uses MIFARE 13.56 MHz technology and features a solid aluminum body. It is undoubtedly one of ALOCK’s most advanced hotel lock systems, built with heavy-duty die-cast metal for superior durability. With a handle force resistance of over 2200 newtons, the V10 showcases exceptional build quality that stands out in the market.
This product is classified as an offline hotel handle with key card, meaning it cannot communicate online with the reception desk. However, if online functionality is needed, the V10—like other ALOCK online hotel solutions—can be upgraded to support online access control and integration with reception systems.
One of ALOCK’s unique advantages is the ability to upgrade and install new firmware. Therefore, if a project initially installs the offline version, it can later be converted to an online model, depending on the version.

Defining a specific time frame for guests:
This feature enables hoteliers to define precise timeframes—even down to the second—to monitor and control guest access, booking, and stay duration based on payment status.
Creating multi-level access for housekeeping staff:
One of the unique features of the ALOCK V10 hotel lock is the ability to set multi-level access. Hotel management can program room access for housekeeping precisely. When guests are resting inside their room, they may worry about the door being unlocked by staff. But with ALOCK’s card lock system, managers can restrict access so that if the guest has opened the door and is inside the room, the housekeeping card will be completely disabled. Managers can also assign access cards for specific floors, meaning a housekeeper assigned to the first floor cannot open rooms on other floors.
Defining specific time intervals for housekeeping access:
By programming specific access windows (e.g., 11:00–13:00) for housekeeping cards, hotel managers can ensure that staff can only unlock doors during the designated time.
Access reporting:
The V10 hotel lock offers precise access reporting. By placing a card near the lock, the last 225 accesses can be viewed, complete with date, time, and seconds. These logs can be transferred to a computer and printed. The staff member who programmed the cards is also identified. With a PDA device, the log capacity increases to 1000 entries.
Night lock:
When guests enter their room and activate the night lock by turning the handle, the lock’s LED begins flashing. This acts like a DND signal, indicating to staff that the guest has locked the door from the inside, and even a valid housekeeping card cannot unlock it.
Battery consumption:
Despite high functionality, these products consume far less power than competitors. Rated A+++ in energy efficiency, the device can operate over 20 months with 4 regular AA non-alkaline batteries and over 3 years with alkaline AA batteries. Dual battery systems ensure uninterrupted function, even when DND mode is active.
Low battery warning:
The lock provides a low battery alert. After the first alert, users have about 200 operations remaining. If not addressed, the lock shuts down. In such cases, the mechanical key can be used to open the door and replace the batteries.
Mechanical key:
The ALOCK V10 has a hidden, beautifully designed sliding mechanical key cover. The anti-drill, anti-theft key meets ANSI standards and is essential for emergencies. According to U.S. ANSI standards, any hotel lock without a mechanical key is not suitable for hotels.
Master Card:
Hotel managers can define master cards for themselves or housekeeping supervisors. Unlike standard housekeeping cards, master cards can open all doors regardless of state. A common mistake is assigning master cards to housekeeping staff, but ALOCK’s software, in line with U.S. standards, separates master and floor cards.
Passage Mode:
A highlight of the V10 hotel lock is Passage Mode, allowing unrestricted entry without a card. Ideal for high-traffic scenarios like cleaning or renovation. This mode is activated/deactivated with a dedicated card.
Invalid card alert:
The lock has a system that alerts users when an invalid card (wrong room or expired) is used. The lock will not open and will emit a warning.
Integration with smart hotel systems:
ALOCK locks can connect with smart hotel platforms. The ALOCK software supports integration with hotel automation, BMS, PMS systems, and allows time-based card programming. Access logs can be viewed online via mobile, tablet, or computer.
Card blocking:
Hotel managers can disable one or more cards from accessing one or multiple locks.
Anti-card latch:
All ALOCK hotel locks meet ANSI standards with a 5-latch system to prevent unlocking from outside with unauthorized cards.
Card reading distance:
The V10 lock reads cards from up to 6 cm away.
Power switch integration:
The V10 can be paired with power switches from other Mifare brands. ALOCK offers programmable power switches that only activate room electricity with the valid guest card.
Elevator system integration:
ALOCK locks integrate with elevator controllers to allow floor-specific access. If a guest places their card on the elevator reader, they can only access their assigned floor. Otherwise, only public areas like lobby or restaurant will be accessible.
Environmental resistance:
Highly resistant to moisture and heat, the lock is washable and functional in regions with up to 98% humidity. It operates between -30°C to +70°C, and optionally between -50°C to +75°C.
Durability testing:
The V10 has passed all global technical tests, including Durability Machinery Test based on ANSI Grade 1, performing over 800,000 continuous cycles without failure (except low battery alerts). The lock is safe to clean with disinfectants.
Warranty & after-sales service:
Made with Japanese parts, the V10 comes with a 5-year unconditional warranty and 15 years of after-sales service. The lock includes a lifetime finish warranty and has passed a 60-hour salt spray test. For international projects, the warranty is extended to 10 years at no extra cost, covering all components including the electronic board and handle.
