- Defining Specific Time Intervals for Guests:
This feature allows hoteliers to define precise time intervals—down to the second—for managing guest access, reservations, and stays based on their payment status. It gives complete control over guest movements in accordance with defined schedules.
- Multi-Level Access for Housekeepers:
One of the standout features of the ALOCK Hotel Lock Model 89C is its ability to grant access at different levels. Hotel management can precisely control access rights for housekeepers. When guests are resting inside their rooms, they often worry about someone unlocking the door from outside. With the ALOCK card lock system, managers can configure housekeeper cards so they cannot unlock the door if the guest is inside and the door has been opened. Furthermore, access can be limited to specific floors—housekeepers assigned to one floor cannot access rooms on others.
- Scheduled Access for Housekeeping Staff:
Hotel managers can assign specific time windows during which housekeeper cards are valid. For instance, a housekeeper may only access a floor between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Outside these hours, access will be denied.
- Access Log Reports:
A valuable feature of the 89C model is its ability to generate detailed access logs. By scanning a card, the system retrieves the last 225 access events, including exact date, time, and second. These logs can be reviewed or printed via computer. The identity of the receptionist who registered the card is also recorded. For up to 1,000 logs, a PDA device can be used.
- Night Latch (Privacy Lock):
Upon entering the room, guests can activate the privacy latch. This triggers a blinking indicator on the lock, functioning like a “Do Not Disturb” sign. It signals to housekeepers that the door is locked from inside, and cannot be opened from outside using any card—including housekeeping cards.
- Battery Efficiency:
The lock’s circuit board is built with TDK components from Japan, and the motor is manufactured by Mabuchi, also from Japan. Despite heavy usage, these products consume significantly less power than other global brands, achieving an A+++ energy-saving rating. With just four standard non-alkaline AA batteries, the lock functions for over 20 months. Using alkaline or higher-quality batteries extends this to more than 3 years.
- Low Battery Warning:
The lock includes a battery depletion warning system. After the first alert, it continues to operate and issue 200 more warnings. If ignored, the lock will shut down. In such cases, a specially designed mechanical emergency key can be used to open the door and replace the batteries.
- Mechanical Key:
The ALOCK 89C lock includes a mechanical key that is both anti-drill and anti-theft, designed for emergencies. According to ANSI standards, any hotel lock lacking a mechanical override is deemed unsuitable for hospitality use.
- Master Card:
Hotel managers and housekeeping supervisors can use Master Cards, which unlike regular housekeeping cards, can override all lock states. However, mistakenly giving Master Cards to housekeepers compromises security. ALOCK’s advanced hotel software differentiates these roles clearly, complying with U.S. standards—Master Cards for managers, Floor Cards for housekeepers.
- Passage Mode:
This important feature allows free access without needing a card—ideal during high-traffic periods such as cleaning or renovation. The mode can be toggled using a dedicated Passage Mode card.
- Invalid Card Warning:
The lock system alerts users when an invalid card is used. If a card from another room or an expired card is presented, access will be denied and a warning will be triggered.
- Integration with Smart Hotel Systems:
A major advantage of ALOCK’s hardware and software is its compatibility with smart hotel systems. The software integrates seamlessly with hotel management platforms such as BMS, PMS, and others, enabling timed card issuance and live access reports for both managers and housekeeping staff across mobile, tablet, and computer platforms.
- Card Blocking Feature:
ALOCK card locks offer the ability to block individual or groups of cards from accessing one or multiple hotel doors—enhancing control over staff and guest access.
- Anti-Card Latch:
All ALOCK card locks comply with ANSI standards and feature five-latch mechanisms to prevent forced entry using external tools.
- Card Reading Distance:
The 89C hotel lock can read cards from up to 6 centimeters away, ensuring efficient and user-friendly access.
- Compatibility with Smart Power Systems:
The ALOCK 89C lock integrates with MIFARE card holders from other brands. ALOCK also provides specialized hotel power switches that only allow power activation through validated room cards with proper time authorization, ensuring efficient energy use and enhanced security.
- Elevator Access Integration:
ALOCK locks are compatible with elevator access control systems. These controllers read card data—such as validity period, assigned room, and floor—to manage elevator access. Guests can only access designated floors with their card, while general areas like the lobby or restaurant remain accessible without a card.
- Environmental Durability:
These locks are highly resistant to humidity and heat, making them ideal for regions with up to 98% humidity. They operate normally within a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, and can be customized for extremes from -50°C to +75°C upon request.
- Technical Testing:
The ALOCK 89C has passed all major global durability tests, including the Durability Machinery Test. In this ANSI Grade 1 test, the lock, electronic board, motor, and all components undergo over 800,000 continuous cycles without failure—except for battery warnings.
- Warranty and After-Sales Service:
Made with Japanese components, this product includes an unconditional 5-year warranty and a 15-year service guarantee. For international projects, the warranty extends to 10 years without extra charges. It covers all parts, including the circuit board, locking mechanism, handle, and more.
